Ticket Sales for the Spring Concerts - Friday 17th & Saturday 18th May 2019
Tickets for our May concerts this year are on sale through Camberley Theatre box office. The ticket price is £8.50 (no change from last year). All sections of the Orchestra will perform on both nights.
We believe the Orchestra provides excellent entertainment value and, ideally, we would ask all Orchestra members and their parents to ensure that they actively encourage family and friends to purchase tickets for this coming May’s concerts. If each Orchestra member were to sell a minimum of 5 tickets, then we can be confident of a good size audience for both nights of the concert.
Please don’t leave it to the last minute. Start thinking about and planning for your active participation in the sale of tickets for our May concerts.
Box Office Information
The theatre accepts all debit/credit cards except American Express. Cheques should be made payable to Surrey Heath Borough Council. The theatre charges a £2 transaction fee on all bookings. This fee enables them to give the best possible service, keeps their ticket prices as affordable as possible and reflects card and cash fees that they are charged. They also charge a £1 postage fee but do not post tickets within 7 days of the concerts. Please note postage is only available to UK addresses. Tickets are free to collect from the Box Office. Theatre Club members do not pay the transaction or postage fee.
Online Booking
Save time, book online and choose your own seat at www.camberleytheatre.co.uk. You will need to create a secure online account to purchase tickets. All tickets are available through the website.
Opening Times
The Box Office is open for counter or phone bookings, Monday to Friday 10am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm. When there is a show, they are open until 15 minutes after the show starts. They are closed Sunday and Bank Holidays unless there’s a show when the Box Office opens 2 hours before the show starts.
Spring Concert Raffles – a message from Valerie Jackson (Raffle Organiser)
The annual concerts at the Camberley Theatre will take place in a few weeks time. Those of you who have attended in previous years will know that we always have a raffle. The raffle is an important part of CYWO because it raises money to cover the cost of sheet music, gazebos for the sunny play-outs, van hire for the logistics team, advertising, the website, etc.
As a parent of a CYWO member, we really need your help to make a profitable raffle.
Firstly, we need prizes. If you don't have any ideas of what to donate, fancy biscuits, wine of any variety, lovely chocolates as well as any items that would appeal to our younger audience are all very popular. Smaller items can be combined to make an attractive hamper.
Secondly, we need to sell as many raffle tickets as we can. On your way to the bar, please stop by the raffle tables in the lobby of the Camberley Theatre. While you are buying your tickets, please encourage all the family and friends that you've brought to the concert to buy tickets as well.
If you have been involved in any other music or arts groups, you will appreciate that the CYWO is such good value for money. The raffle is part of that reason.
Thank you.
Overseas Concert Tour 2020
Further to the information provided in our March Newsletter, sufficient 'Expressions of Interest' have now been received from Senior Section members to enable us to confirm that the concert tour in the summer of 2020 to Valencia in Spain will go ahead.
Requests for an initial deposit to secure a place on the tour have now been sent to the Senior Section members who have indicated their wish to tour, with the remaining cost of the tour spread over a 15 month payment programme. Once tour deposits have been received from our Senior Section members and we have clarification regarding the number of spaces still available to satisfy the minimum number of places booked for our tour party, we will start the process of offering tour places to selected Intermediate Section members who it is believed will be ready to move up to the Seniors in September.
The process of selecting Intermediates is not an exact science and this time will initially focus on topping up specific instruments where it is felt that numbers could be enhanced for the tour orchestra. We will then review again and, if necessary, negotiate additional tour places with our tour company, depending on the total that will be promoted from the Intermediates to the Seniors in September and who wish to go on tour.
Registration & Tuck Rota
Can we please ask any parent that is a member of our 'Rota Team' and not yet registered on our web site to access rota information, to please sign up as soon as possible. The rota for the summer term will only be published on the web site and access will be via the secure log-in as previously advised. Thank you.
