Ticket Sales for the Spring Concerts - Friday 13th & Saturday 14th May 2022

As advised in our letter to parents and Orchestra members earlier this month, tickets for our May concerts this year are now on sale through Camberley Theatre box office. Information regarding the ordering and collecting of tickets was included in the letter we circulated by email on Tuesday 8 March, with tickets priced is £11.50.

All sections of the Orchestra will perform on both nights.

We believe the Orchestra provides excellent entertainment value and, ideally, we would ask all Orchestra members and their parents to ensure that they actively encourage family and friends to purchase tickets for this coming May’s concerts. If each Orchestra member were to sell a minimum of 5 tickets, then we can be confident of a good size audience for both nights of the concert.

Please don’t leave it to the last minute. Start thinking about and planning for your active participation in the sale of tickets for our May concerts.

Spring Concert Raffles

Those of you who have attended our concerts prior to the pandemic will know that we always had a raffle. Our concert raffles help us to raise funds to cover the cost of sheet music, polo shirts, instrument repair, van hire for the logistics team, advertising, the website, etc... We are delighted to advise everyone that the raffle will return for this year’s May concerts.

In advance of our May concerts, we would very much welcome the donation of prizes. If you don't have any ideas of what to donate, fancy biscuits, wine of any variety, lovely chocolates as well as any items that would appeal to our younger audience are all very popular. Smaller items will be combined to make an attractive hamper.

Please bring your donations to one of our rehearsals before the concerts. Thank you.

Raffle tickets will be sold on the night, so please stop by our raffle table in the lobby of the Camberley Theatre when you attend for the concert.

Rehearsal Dates for the Summer Terms 2022

We will be continuing Saturday rehearsals for the first half of the Summer Term at the same times as the Spring Term. We are however hoping to return to pre-pandemic rehearsal times for all three Orchestra sections for the second half of the Summer Term, this being 9.30am to 12.00noon from Saturday 11 June. As everyone will be aware, it is difficult to plan too far ahead with any certainty in current times, but we thought we would at least share with our membership and parents our intentions for next term, as we tentatively move towards a return to normality at CYWO. Hopefully, next on the list will be the return of the Tuck Shop from September!!
