Ticket Sales for the Spring Concerts - Friday 17th & Saturday 18th May 2019
Tickets for our May concerts this year are on sale through Camberley Theatre box office. The ticket price is £8.50 (no change from last year). All sections of the Orchestra will perform on both nights.
We believe the Orchestra provides excellent entertainment value and, ideally, we would ask all Orchestra members and their parents to ensure that they actively encourage family and friends to purchase tickets for this coming May’s concerts. If each Orchestra member sold a minimum of 5 tickets, then we would be confident of a good size audience for both nights of the concert.
Please don’t leave it to the last minute. Start thinking about and planning for your active participation in the sale of tickets for our May concerts.
Box Office Information
The theatre accepts all debit/credit cards except American Express. Cheques should be made payable to Surrey Heath Borough Council. The theatre charges a £2 transaction fee on all bookings. This fee enables them to give the best possible service, keeps their ticket prices as affordable as possible and reflects card and cash fees that they are charged. They also charge a £1 postage fee but do not post tickets within 7 days of the concerts. Please note postage is only available to UK addresses. Tickets are free to collect from the Box Office. Theatre Club members do not pay the transaction or postage fee.
Online Booking
Save time, book online and choose your own seat at www.camberleytheatre.co.uk. You will need to create a secure online account to purchase tickets. All tickets are available through the website.
Opening Times
The Box Office is open for counter or phone bookings, Monday to Friday 10am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm. When there is a show, they are open until 15 minutes after the show starts. They are closed Sunday and Bank Holidays unless there’s a show when the Box Office opens 2 hours before the show starts.
Spring Concert Raffles
We appreciate the donations of raffle prizes so far following Valerie Jackson's appeal in our April Newsletter. However, we would welcome more donations so that Valerie, who organises our raffles, can perform her magic in creating the attractive prizes that everyone wants to win! You never know, you might even want to win back the item you donated because it looks so appealing when presented as part of the range of raffle prizes at the concerts! Thank you.
Coffee Morning
This is advanced notice that we will be holding an event to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday 22 June 2019 in memory of Sandra Kay, our Orchestra Secretary who sadly passed away earlier this year.
We are inviting Orchestra members and parents to join us for tea and cakes at Cordwalles School at 12.00 noon on Saturday 22 June after the morning rehearsal, with all funds raised going to the cancer charity. Cakes are being made/donated by the Musical Director Team, Music Tutor Team, Friends Committee Members, Logistics Team Members and the Saturday Rota Team. We are sure that they will all be irresistible!!
Please join us for this good cause and in memory of Sandra.
Open Morning
This summer term we will be holding an Open Morning to recruit new members to the Orchestra to start in September this year. The morning chosen to invite those interested in joining our Orchestra to come along and try out with one of our Orchestra Sections will be Saturday 6 July. More details about the Open Morning arrangements will be included in our June Newsletter but if you know of someone who may be interested in joining an orchestra, please encourage them to put our Open Morning date in their diary. Thank you.
Absences
Can we please remind parents that any absences from Orchestra, either rehearsals or performances, must be pre-notified unless it is due to ill health on the day. Absence notifications can be made via the 'Contact Us' section of the 'Home Page' on our website www.cywo.org
