Reminders

Rehearsals

The next rehearsal will be this coming Saturday (28 September) but there will not be a rehearsal on Saturday 5 October. We return to rehearsals on 12 October, with a further rehearsal on 19 October before the half-term break. This will complete the five rehearsals this side of half term, with five more rehearsals commencing 9 November and leading up to the end of the Autumn Term.

Polo Shirts

We have previously requested that those that have changed sections for the start of the current term return their polo shirt for their previous section. This can then be returned to stock prior to us reviewing the requirement for a new order from our suppliers. When returning the polo shirt we would ask that this is washed and ironed and a label affixed to indicate which orchestra member has returned their polo shirt. Thank you.

Membership Application Forms

If you have not already done so, can you please ensure that the membership application form for the 2019/20 Orchestra year, that was handed our at the beginning of term, is completed and returned this coming Saturday. If you do not have a form, please ask for one on Saturday and arrange for it's completion on the day. Your co-operation in this regard would be appreciated.

Registration & Tuck Shop Rota

In our September Newsletter we put out a request for parent volunteers to join our Saturday Registration and Tuck Shop Rota. Unfortunately there has been only a modest response to this request. It would therefore be appreciated if parents could give some further thought to their availability to join the 'Team', which generally requires only one, or two at the most, Saturday commitments per term.

Logistics Team

As with the request for volunteers for the Registration and Tuck Shop Rota, the response to the request for additional help for the Logistics Team has been disappointing, with only one volunteer. Without a good number in our Logistics Team, the ability to commit to future concerts and play-outs could be effected due to the lack of sufficient numbers in the support team. As has been previously stated, you do not need to be available every rehearsal Saturday, although 20 minutes to set up percussion at the start of rehearsals and the same time at the end is usually all the time commitment that is required for a Saturday.

Thank you.
