September 2021 Newsletter: Update

Since we distributed our September Newsletter there has been further discussion with Surrey Arts regarding the changing 'return to rehearsal' guidance. This is particularly relevant to the wearing of face masks.

In the light of the current government guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks in an educational setting, the wearing of face masks is still recommended, but no longer mandatory. Therefore, the following revisions as guided by Surrey Arts will apply for CYWO rehearsals:

All participants in Year 7 and above are recommended to wear face coverings when moving around the venue (except those with a medical reason not to). Face coverings may be removed when playing. Younger participants can also wear face coverings if they choose to do so. Please bring a zip lock bag for the face coverings when not being worn. Participants should ensure they sanitise hands before and after removing their face coverings.

We understand that Surrey Arts will shortly be circulating to our membership their official 'Guidance for Members', confirming all aspects of rehearsal practices and safeguarding for the Autumn Term.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday morning.
